Since 1989, Community Preservation and Development Corporation's (CPDC) Real Estate division has developed:

• 27 properties
• Over 4,000 units
• Over $300 million in real estate value

For each of our properties, we have creatively structured and secured the necessary resources to: acquire and provide repairs and upgrades ensuring that the properties become and remain competitive in the market, make real investment in on-site human services and provide high quality property management and maintenance.

The rehabilitation of apartments with residents in place or with on-site relocation is one of the most complex types of construction. Meticulous planning, coordination and scheduling are required, alongside managing the risks of the unknown elements of the rehabilitation. No matter the obstacles or complexity, we do whatever is required to make sure our developments work both financially and practically for our residents.

Our properties are located as far south as Covington, Virginia (southwestern corner of Virginia) to as far north as Edgewood, Maryland (north of Baltimore). Fifty percent of the units are located in Washington, DC, and thirty-seven percent are in Maryland. The remaining units are in Virginia (13%).
