CPDC’s Wheeler Terrace featured on ABC in Washington, D.C.
On July 14, ABC in Washington, DC featured our Wheeler Terrace community on their newscast about the great strides our partners and residents have taken to combat food deserts in our neighborhoods. Wheeler Terrace and our friends at Lincoln Heights were showcased as shining examples for their community gardens and health awareness programs.
These gardens are thanks to our resident services partner The Green Scheme, a non-profit organization focused on enhancing awareness and empowerment around environmental and health issues. Together with The Green Scheme, we are actively finding solutions to improve health outcomes for residents in Ward 8.
