CPDC is usually invited by a resident group, another organization, or a government.

While seniors are invited to live at all our properties, Edgewood Terrace III is our first dedicated senior living residence. Soon we will have a second one at Bates Senior Living.

How many of your communities are wired for broadband access?

Eight: Edgewood Terrace I, Edgewood Terrace II, Edgewood Terrace III, Edgewood Terrace IV, Park Montgomery, Stewartown, Wardman Court Apartments, and Wardman Court Condominiums. Three more are in progress: Island Walk, 1330 , and Bates Senior Housing.

How many of your communities have resident development programs?

How do I join a job training class?

CPDC takes a holistic approach to career development that includes job training as one component. For more information, click here.

How do you decide what programs to offer at a property?

The residents of each community go through an intensive survey process of their current assets and future needs for development. Once this process is completed, the decision is made in collaboration with CPDC Staff.

How do you get funding for your programs?

CPDC's work is based on the premise that multiple partnerships strengthen and stabilize our programs and properties. Likewise, our funding comes from myriad sources: property fees, foundations, governments, educational institutions, and corporations.

Do you own your properties?

While CPDC does own its properties, two of them (Island Walk and 1330) are eligible for purchase by the residents after a 15-year compliance period has passed. Additionally, CPDC redeveloped a portion of Wardman Court as condos and sold them to mixed income individuals. Finally, CPDC also operates programs at a community we neither developed nor own, Stewartown Homes. This is an affordable Town home development.
