Support CPDC’s Great Grocery Give!
CPDC’s “Great Grocery Give” is an effort to raise $5,000 to provide much-needed fresh produce for seniors at the Wiley H. Bates Residences.
The Bates Produce Program currently provides an average of 35 Bates residents with free produce each week provided through partnership with a local food bank. To date, produce has only been made available from April through November of each year. During the winter months (December through March), residents have difficulty accessing healthy foods due to several barriers (e.g., lack of transportation and public transportation routes, limited physical abilities, limited income to pay for costly taxi service, etc.). In addition, grocery stores are more than a mile from the Wiley H. Bates Residences.
Your contributions will help pay for much-needed produce and help support healthy, thriving seniors at Bates.
