Vice President and Director, Community Development Programs
Pamela Lyons is responsible for the development and direction of CPDC’s community building model strategy. She directs the strategic planning and development of CPDC’s Resident Services and provides day-to-day leadership and management. Key to the success of her work at CPDC is the identification and building of partnerships with private sector groups and local government agencies that provide programs and services that support the five impact areas of the community building model: Education, Economic Development, Health and Wellness, Environment, and Resident Engagement. Ms. Lyons is also responsible for the measurement and effectiveness of all internal and external resident services processes.
She has previously spent five years at CPDC as Director of Administration, overseeing human resources, communications, operations, and IT management. Her prior duties included partnering with members of senior management to help guide corporate business objectives, employee relations, workforce planning, and communications across the organization.
Ms. Lyons has over seventeen years of experience in human resources development and employee relations. For six of those years, she served as Chief of Staff at The Council of Chief State School Officers in Washington, DC, managing relationships with key external stakeholders, establishing effective management and performance measurement systems, and developing recruitment and orientation strategies to support corporate objectives.
Ms. Lyons graduated from The American University, Washington, DC, and is a current member of the Board at Beacon House and CNHED.
