3rd Annual CPDC Joy Maker Campaign Spreads Holiday Cheer to Youth Residents
The holiday season is upon us and CPDC is embracing the season and spreading holiday cheer by giving back to communities through the Joy Maker Challenge.
Each year, generationOn and Hasbro partner to help young people spread joy in their communities by matching acts of volunteer service into donations of toys and games for kids in need.
For the third consecutive year, CPDC has participated as a Joy Maker ambassador. Through a generous grant from generationOn and Hasbro and donations from First Book, CPDC will gift toys, books and other gifts to youth in several DC-area communities including Arbor View and Cedar Heights in Southeast, Washington D.C. and Stony Brook, in Alexandria, VA.
In addition to holiday gifts, CPDC is working to ensure youth residents have a warm and happy holiday.
Staff donated more than 70 winter hats and glove sets that will be distributed to school age children.
Last year, CPDC’s Joy Makers efforts served more than 280 youth across the organization’s Washington DC-area communities.
