Site Program Manager, Older Adult

Purpose:
Department: Senior Resources
Location: Windsor Valley- Edgewood, MD
Classification (PT): Part-time (30 hours per week)
FLSA Status: Exempt
Supervisor: Manager of Senior Resources

The Site Program Manager will lead implementation of education and health-promotion program activities for older adults, and work with program partners to ensure high quality senior resources and programming.
Description:
· Provide program planning for senior residents and lead in recruiting efforts to increase overall enrollment and attendance
· Identify and collaborate with professional staff & potential partners for programming activities and resources
· Assess volunteer member needs and review prospects/possibilities with Manager of Volunteer Resources
· Manage site program budget, review monthly reports from Finance, and insure accuracy in reporting
· Work with Finance to build yearly budget and determine priority areas to fund
· Serve as Programming substitute in order to meet stated objectives
· Collect, manage, report and analyze data, and ensure accuracy and consistency with established data collection standard
· Develops /facilitates groups that support leadership development & community engagement
· Facilitates health education & wellness educational programs
· Coordinate and refer residents to existing social service partners and organizations as needed
· Recruit and supervise interns and volunteers
· Assists with submission of funding applications, and ensures that the creation and implementation of operating policies are adhered to and program content is consistent with organization's vision
Qualifications:
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
· Excellent writing and communications skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups of people
· Ability to work effectively independently with limited supervision
· Proficiency Familiarity with PC MS Office Suite environment
· Familiarity with Databases

Preferred Skills and Experience:
· Comfort level working in urban setting highly desirable

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time, and frequently communicate. The employee must be able to exchange information with others. This position requires occasional movement inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. This position frequently operates a computer and other office machinery such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
Experience:
· Bachelors degree in gerontology, social work, or health related field. Master’s degree preferred.
· Minimum of 2 years direct experience working with Older Adults as well as 1 year of experience doing indirect service planning for older adults.
