Site Program Manager
|
Purpose: Full Time commencing February, 2009
Salary - $43,000-45,000 commensurate with education and experience. Benefits included.
Work Site: CPDC @ Buckman Road, 3606 Buckman Road, Rear Alexandria, VA 22309
Commuting: Car is a necessity.
Work Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 11- 7:30
Fridays – Flexible
Saturdays – Occasional

Description: Leads implementation of education program activities for children, youth, and adults. Provides oversight for implementation of program activities, curriculum, and community empowerment. Responsible for insuring controls are implemented, department reports and budgets are completed and accurate. Assists with submission of funding applications, insures creation and implementation of operating policies are adhered to and that program content is consistent with organization's vision. Works with program partners to insure high quality programming.
Program Delivery
· Lead youth specialists and instructors in curriculum planning, classroom management, and recruiting efforts to increase overall enrollment and attendance
· Responsible for hiring and training staff and identifying professional staff development opportunities· Assess volunteer member needs and review prospects/possibilities with Manager of Volunteer Resources
· Manage site program budget, review monthly reports from Finance, and insure accuracy in reporting
· Work with Director of Programs and Finance to build yearly budget and determine priority areas to fund
· Serve as instructional substitute in order to meet student/teacher ratios
· Meet program enrollment and attendance goals (daily and average) at the start of each school year -- goals to be agreed upon by Site Manager and Director of Programs at the start of each school year and a target established for percentage/actual number of residents vs. outside community members enrolled in program
· Establish and maintain relationships with schools thru regular school visits with principal/liaison and teachers to discuss progress, issues, and concerns with individual students
· Support parent advocacy and insure that important school information is communicated to families
· Collect, manage, report and analyze data, and insure accuracy and consistency with established data collection standards utilizing ETO.
· Analyze effectiveness of programs using collected data and determine site-specific program needs in addition to regular program offerings
· Conduct pre- and post assessments as determined by Director of Programs
· Manage 3rd party organizations working on site.
· Identify at least 2 local organizations that can help you achieve your overall program objectives and become an active member (e.g. PTA, local community organization etc.)
· Manage contractors when appropriate· Work closely with Director of Programs to assist in meeting overall site program objectives· Provide bimonthly site reports to Director of Programs
· Work with IT department to assess needs
· Collaborate with other Site Managers
· Attend program and staff meetings
· Be visible in the community
Community Empowerment
· Work with program managers to insure resident participation and success in the areas of computer technology empowerment, youth development and seniors
· Establish partnerships with local organizations to help residents and surrounding communities succeed
· Create a community information/resource directory for resident use
· Initiate "Welcome Program" for new residents
Business Development
· Identify and track in-kind resources
· Work with Resource Development and Director of Programs to identify possible funding opportunities and assist in grant development
· Determine grant reporting duties with Resource Development Manager if needed
· Build relationships with local media and area agencies
Asset Management
· Work closely and meet regularly with property management team to insure clear communication regarding program needs and assist in maintaining safe community
· Communicate with Asset Management regarding issues that relate to property and property management only if property management is not able to respond in a timely or appropriate manner
· Work with Real Estate team to help identify possible prospects |
