The Residences at the Wiley H. Bates Heritage Park Grand Opening - September 8, 2006
Come join us celebrate the grand opening of the preservation and adaptive reuse of the Wiley H. Bates high school. Renamed the Wiley H. Bates Heritage Park, this important historical building has been transformed from an abandoned building into a true community resource.
The all day event will mark the grand opening of this collaborative effort spearheaded by Anne Arundel County, with CPDC, Northern Real Estate Urban Ventures, and Arundel Community Services. The Park now houses a Boys and Girls Club, a Community Center, and affordable housing for seniors, including a residential community space and computer learning center.
CPDC will celebrate the opening of the 71 new units of affordable housing for seniors at 11:00 AM, with refreshments, music, and a tour of the facility.
